Myanmar DICA issues draft sample application forms for new electronic companies registry system

On 22 March 2018, the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (“DICA”) issued a draft set of prescribed forms which will be utilised in the new electronic companies registry system, Myanmar Companies Online (“MyCO”). MyCO is being established in order to facilitate the implementation of provisions of the Myanmar Companies Law 2017 (“Companies Law”). MyCO is expected to be launched on 1 August 2018 on the commencement of the Companies Law.
The draft set of prescribed forms released are for the following applications:
- Incorporation as a private company limited by shares
- Incorporation as a public company limited by shares
- Incorporation as a company limited by guarantee
- Incorporation as an unlimited company
- Registration by association as a company limited by guarantee
- Registration as a private company limited by shares under the Special Company Act 1950
- Registration as a public company limited by shares under the Special Company Act 1950
- Registration as an overseas corporation
The prescribed forms will enable MyCO to collect the company information required to be submitted to the Companies Registrar under the Companies Law. The forms are available in English on the DICA website www.dica.gov.mm or by clicking here.
