Corporate Real Estate
Growing in Myanmar
Myanmar is one of the fastest-growing economies, with a real estate sector set to grow at an exciting rate. Sustainable growth demands that the legal framework keeps pace, ensuring stability and market vibrancy in real estate investment and property development, and the practice of law should be sensitive to, and contribute toward this.
Wide range of experience
Our corporate real estate experience in the region spans the entire range of transactions and the different stages of a property development life cycle, and we are attuned to the many and varied issues that may arise. In Myanmar, we have been involved extensively in the real estate sector and have advised on a variety of deals including joint ventures involving both private and government entities, asset and property management, financing, and disposal to third parties. In particular, we have advised on a number of pioneering deals, including the first condominium project involving a foreign developer to be given Myanmar Investment Commission approval.
Our services include structuring, drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of real estate transactions including acquisitions and divestments, financing, property development, planning and regulatory requirements, as well as large scale built-to-suit development projects and commercial leasing.
Committed to service
As a market-leading corporate real estate practice, we are pleased to count among our clients a diverse range of leading corporates and institutions. These include local and international investors, property funds, real estate companies, real estate investment trusts and fund managers.
