Myanmar Ministry of Commerce sets registration fees for online retail businesses

On 28 December 2023, the Department of Trade of the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce (“MOC”) issued Export/Import Newsletter No. 17/2023 titled “Notifying the registration fees that will be collected for online sales business registration”.
The online sales business registration regime was announced via MOC Notification No. 51/2023 whereby the MOC set out the criteria and requirements for the registration of online retail businesses as well as the duties and liabilities of sellers and consumers. The fees set out in the Newsletter are as follows:
