The International Comparative Legal Guide to Project Finance 2020: Malaysia chapter

Partners Dzuhairi bin Jaafar Thani and Syed Rashid bin Rahim Alsree of Rahmat Lim & Partners contributed the Malaysia chapter to The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Project Finance 2020 (9th Edition), published by Global Legal Group, London. The chapter covers common issues in project finance laws and regulations, such as the creation, filing and enforcement of security, the effect of bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, foreign investment and ownership restrictions, government approvals and restrictions, equipment import restrictions, laws on corruption and bribery, the use of international arbitration to settle disputes, as well as tax issues.
