New income tax exemptions for Labuan entities announced
On 13 February 2025, the Income Tax (Exemption) Order 2025 (“Exemption Order”) came into force, providing certain income tax exemptions on payments in relation to Labuan entities such as a Labuan company and a Labuan trust. The Exemption Order runs from the year of assessment (“YA”) 2023 to YA 2027 and revokes the Income Tax (Exemption) (No. 22) Order 2007.
