Advised Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.), a hypermarket chain with more than 60 stores in Malaysia, as the borrower (“Borrower”) in respect of a syndicated term loan facility of up to RM2.3 billion granted by Maybank Investment Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (as original lenders) to refinance an existing intercompany loan extended by the parent company of the Borrower, C.P. Retail Development Company Limited, to the Borrower.
