Boon Leong has practised almost exclusively in international arbitration seated within South-east Asia, for the past 15 years.

He is licensed to appear before the courts in Singapore and Malaysia on arbitration-related litigation, two of the most active international arbitration jurisdictions within the region. While he has extensive experience handling commercial and corporate disputes, his practice has evolved to focus on complex power/energy, infrastructure, oil and gas and international investment/commercial disputes.

In Chambers Global, Boon Leong "attracts praise from sources, who value his ‘good legal mind’ and readiness to ‘listen and take in the client’s ideas.’" Sources praise his "very meticulous" approach to issues. Boon Leong sits on the Singapore International Arbitration Centre Panel of Arbitrators. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree in 1991. He is a member of the Singapore Bar and the Malaysian Bar.
