Amelia heads the Firm’s Corporate Real Estate Department. She has extensive experience in property-related work, including property acquisition and divestment, development projects, property joint ventures, commercial leasing, built-to-suit sale and purchase and leasing transactions, and real estate investment trusts. Her clients include property funds, asset managers, local and foreign real estate investment trusts, private and public companies, developers, and commercial banks.
In The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Amelia is recognised as a Recommended lawyer in Real Estate and Construction. She is also ranked in Chambers Asia-Pacific for Real Estate, where clients endorsed her for being “brilliant and patient”. Work Highlights
- Advised Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust in connection with its proposed acquisition of Pavilion Bukit Jalil mall from a subsidiary of Malton Bhd for RM2.2 billion.
- Advised the Trustee of Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust on the acquisition of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Pavilion Tower, being the initial investment portfolio of Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust and the initial public offering and listing of Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
- Advised Nusajaya Tech Park Sdn Bhd on the acquisition of land from Nusajaya Rise Sdn Bhd (an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of UEM Sunrise Bhd) for the expansion of Nusajaya Tech Park.
- Advised various data centre operators on their acquisition of land for their data centre operation in Malaysia.
