Zhuo Chen’s areas of practice encompass mergers and acquisitions and general corporate advisory work. She has acted for publicly listed companies, privately held companies and private equity firms in various cross-border transactions.

Zhuo Chen graduated from Cardiff University with an LL.B. degree in 2007. She was a Legal Executive with the Firm from 2007 until 2009 before pursuing Master’s study at the University of Cambridge and spending time as legal counsel of a subsidiary of Malaysian sovereign wealth fund. Zhuo Chen re-joined the Firm in September 2013. She was seconded to the Hong Kong office of a leading London firm for six months from June 2016 to December 2016.

Work Highlights

  • Advised Global Logistic Properties on its independent strategic review and subsequent privatisation by way of a scheme of arrangement valued at S$16 billion.
  • Advised Singapore Airlines on its privatisation of Tiger Airways by way of a voluntary general offer valued at S$508 million.
  • Advised STATS ChipPAC on the S$1 billion pre-conditional voluntary general offer made by Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology to acquire all shares in STATS ChipPAC.
