Benjamin’s practice focuses on complex banking, employment, property and shareholder disputes as well as investigations.
He has substantial experience in acting for multinational corporations, banks, REITs, trading firms, and high net worth individuals. He also regularly advises clients on regulatory, risk management issues and novel points of law.
Benjamin has been recognised by leading ranking publications, including The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific. Benjamin is described as “easy to work with, accessible, strategic, and able to see things from every angle” and having “an eye for detail and extremely conscientious”.
Benjamin graduated from Cambridge with a Double First. Upon graduation, he worked in the London and Shanghai offices of a Magic Circle firm. Thereafter, he served as a Justices’ Law Clerk to the Chief Justice and Judges of the Singapore Supreme Court. He has also taught commercial conflict of laws at the Singapore Management University as an adjunct professor.
In 2016, Benjamin was selected for placement under the Singapore Supreme Court’s Young Amicus Curiae Scheme. He was also a contributing editor to the Singapore White Book.

- Acted for Cache Logistics Trust in its lease dispute with the C&P Group and Schenker Singapore in relation to the largest freight and logistics property at the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore.
- Acted for ALOG Trust in its lease dispute with TheSeafoodCompany in relation to a property located the multi-temperature controlled ALOG Cold Centre at 2 Fishery Port Road.
- Acted for Qantas Airways in its cross-border employment dispute against its former employee.
- Acted for Hwa Hong Corporation against Evercore Asia (Singapore) over financial advisor “success fees” claimed following a general offer by Sanjuro United for Hwa Hong Corporation’s shares.
- Represented Ripple Markets APAC in its digital asset dispute against Moneytrans Payment Services.
