Indonesia extends travel restrictions due to new Covid-19 variant transmission

Indonesia’s Covid-19 Task Force’s prohibited all offshore non-Indonesian citizens from entering Indonesia (subject to certain exceptions) between 1 January and 14 January 2021 in an attempt to reduce the risk of a new Covid-19 variant being transmitted into Indonesia. On 14 January 2021, the Task Force extended the temporary entry restrictions to cover the period from 15 January 2021 to
25 January 2021 by issuing Task Force Circular Letter No.2 of 2021 concerning Health Protocols for International Travel during the 2019 Corona Virus (Covid-19) Pandemic. The Letter discusses the validity of a Covid-19 test, the expansion of entry restriction exemptions, and self-quarantine variation.
